Evolution Gaming Going Live in South Africa Following WCGRB License Approval
Evolution Gaming gets licensed in South Africa

Just one day after Evolution Gaming unveiled its most innovative, probably boldest product line-up that appears at ICE, the company announced that it is going live in regulated South African markets. The news came after Evolution Gaming received a manufacturer license from the WCGRB or the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board which is one of the major South African iGaming regulatory authorities.

Being granted this extremely valuable license will enable the Stockholm-based company which specializes in the production of Live Casino solutions to finally roll out its live dealer games and products to a number of fully-licensed iGaming operators in Africa. With this license, Evolution Gaming will also roll out live dealer casino gaming products from its recently acquired provider Ezugi.

Evolution Gaming’s Acquisition of Ezugi

Back in November of 2018, Evolution Gaming’s officials announced that the company will acquire the live dealer casino content developer Ezugi in order to boost its European footprint as well as accelerate its business growth across European key markets. The Riga-based company was established back in 2012 and today, it has nine studios while its growing gaming portfolio includes twenty games.

Since its inception, the company has partnered with over one hundred operators active around the globe. Commenting on the news about going live in the southernmost African country, Evolution Gaming’s Chief Executive Officer Martin Carlesund stated that his company is extremely delighted to be given this license. He also said that Evolution Gaming is looking forward to opening its rich, growing gaming portfolio of world-leading live dealer casino games to South African operators and players.

Martin Carlesund also said that the company’s subsidiary Ezugi acquired back in 2018 has already gained great experience in this growing market so the company is entering it in a really exciting way. He finished his official press release by saying that the company’s life dealer casino solutions, as well as new betting solutions crafted by Evolution Gaming, will not only be able on smartphones, tablets and desktop computers but also in a number of retail betting shops.

South African Market Offering Long-Term Potential

Commenting on the news about the expected potentials and benefits of entering the South African iGaming market, Ezugi’s Chief Executive Officer Kfir Kugler said that this market doubtlessly offers long-term business and growing potentials especially when it comes to delivering Evolution Gaming-powered fixed-odds gaming solutions and live dealer games. He also added that his company’s products will definitely bring South African players the most rewarding, most entertaining experience.

All in all, the previous month was an extremely busy period for Evolution Gaming which has been selected by Groupe Partouche which is a French operator to launch its Live Casino solutions and services in Switzerland. At the same time, the company launched its Lightning Baccarat game which is the third game release is its series of Lightning products. The game offers a brand-new, exciting take on standard Baccarat games. It combines extremely high payout RNG winning multipliers with live play.

In addition to this great success, the company’s January’s accomplishments also include Evolution Gaming being crowned at the EGR Nordics Awards 2020 as the Casino Content Supplier of the Year. The company won this award three times consequently and it is a genuine honor. All things considered, Evolution Gaming remains very active and busy these days especially after announcing that it is going live in South Africa.
