]]> Earlier on the weekend, a sports betting tournament held in New Jersey caused a lot of controversies as many competitors issued complaints about not being able to place bets on an NFL playoff game, which reportedly cost them an opportunity at winning a $1million top prize.

Earlier today, Tuesday, January 15th, New Jersey regulators reported that they have begun investing into the matter.

As per reported by The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, it has begun reviewing the DraftKings tournament that marks the very first high profile tournament ever since the legalization of sports betting in New Jersey.

As per reports, participants wishing to bet on the two NFL playoff games held on Sunday were barred from doing. Before the Saints-Eagles game could commence, The Patriots-Chargers game ended, due to which several bettors could not receive their winning from the early games in time to wager on the second contest.

Sources close to the matter have reported that DraftKings has issued an apology for the situation however it is obliged to follow its own rules.
