Officially the Principality of Monaco is home to Casino de Monte-Carlo facility which is owned and operated by the Monte-Carlo Societe des Bains de Mer local casino operator. According to the venue’s officials, this Monte Carlo-based venue has just recently re-opened with a modern, renovated Place du Casino.
According to one report released by G3Newswire, the one hundred- and the fifty-seven-year-old facility was forced to shut down its operations temporarily back in March due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. After over two months of being closed down for the public, the Casino de Monte-Carlo venue started welcoming visitors and gamblers following the nation’s government lowering restrictions.
Going Strong Since 1863
The Monte Carlo Casino also officially known as the Casino de Monte-Carlo venue is one of the oldest, longest-standing entertainment and gambling complexes in Monaco. The property hosts an iconic casino, as well as the Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo office and the Opéra de Monte-Carlo which is one of its major and signature attractions. Casino de Monte-Carlo opened its doors one hundred and fifty-seven years ago in 1863.
Today, the property is owned and managed by Société des bains de mer de Monaco which is a publicly-listed company in that the royal family and the Monaco government share majority interested. The same company which owns and operates Casino de Monte-Carlo also owns several sports clubs, principal hotels, nightclubs, and several other establishments located in Monaco.
Monte-Carlo Societe des Bains de Mer Reviving Its Other Businesses
According to one report by G3Newswire, the Monte-Carlo Societe des Bains de Mer company which owns and operates Casino du Monte-Carlo has also revived several other its businesses including its Brasserie du Cafe de Paris Monte-Carlo which sits near a modernized Place du Casino. The same news outlet explained that the newly-opened public space has been given a completely new space layout. The main plan here is to bring Place du Casino closer to its original 1930s look to match the Boulingrins Gardens project.
In one of its latest official press releases, Monte-Carlo Societe des Bains de Mer shared more details about the company’s new redevelopment of Place du Casino which was specifically undertaken in order to help the region of Casino de Monte-Carlo to maintain its popularity and reputation as one of the most luxurious tourist destinations in the world. At the same time, Place du Casino will also provide a safer space for all pedestrians.
According to the company’s officials, the undertaking and renovations of Place du Casino will not change the course of the iconic Monaco Grand Prix, but it will provide more parking space for its VIP guests and patrons., Chief Executive Officer for the responsible company Jean-Luc Biamonti inaugurated the fresh look of Place du Casino via a ceremony that took place on the 2nd of June. The grand ceremony was attended by Princess Charlene, Prince Albert II, and several other royal family members.
The official statement from Monte-Carlo Societe des Bains’s Chief Executive Officer proclaims that the resumption of the company’s entertainment, shopping, restaurant, gaming, and hotel activities has been long-awaited for the entire community.
