The World Series of Poker is the most iconic series of poker tournaments which is traditionally held every year in Las Vegas. This year, the World Series of Poker Online took place and as expected, it offered plenty of poker events. A couple of days ago, the World Series of Poker Online Event #11 took place and it was a $500 No Limit Hold’em Turbo Deepstack event in six-handed play. This event gathered over one thousand players and six hundred and ten rebuys.

The event accumulated $760,000 and in the end, after seven hours, it was Raman “Acrogum” Afanasenka who was crowned the winner. It is worth mentioning that great Raman “Acrogum” Afanasenka became the very first person residing outside of the United States to claim an online World Series of Poker bracelet and this way his first gold bracelet so he has a lot of reasons to celebrate.

Raman “Acrogum” Afanasenka vs. Chance “BingShui” Kornuth

Once the World Series of Poker Online Event #11 came down to the two final players, it was Chance “BingShui” Kornuth against Raman “Acrogum” Afanasenka. Raman and Chance would eventually go head to head with the winner as the chip leader with forty-two million in chips against twenty-four million in chips that Chance had. On the final hand, Raman “Acrogum” Afanasenka had pocket 3s while the second-placed Chance had K-A.

The flop showed a six and a King, but it was the river’s third 3 which gave Raman “Acrogum” Afanasenka the hand and most importantly the ultimate win. Chance “BingShui” Kornuth was really hoping to win the event which would be his second World Series of Poker Online bracelet as he earned his very first bracelet two years ago in the WSOP Event #63 in a No-Limit Hold’em High Roller. In the end, it was Raman Afanasenka as first place with a prize of $128,601 followed by Chance Kornuth, Brett Apter, David Prociak, Neeraj Nayak and Erica Lindgren.

World Series of Poker Online Event #5 and Event #11

The World Series of Poker Online Event #5 saw great Allen “Acnyc718” Chang from New York winning his very first World Series of Poker bracelet. The event was a $1,000 No Limit Hold’em Freezeout and it gathered eight hundred and fifty-four poker players who generated over $811,000. After eleven hours, Allen Chang was crowned the winner and he went home with $161,286 in his pockets.

Just like the vast majority of other World Series of Poker Online event, this one was rather tough with both professional and amateur players competing. The final table saw Philip ‘tomte’ Yeh and the winner Allen Chang facing each other in the exciting heads-up game with great Allen being the chip leader. Before the game ended, Phillip Yeh took over the chip lead, but it was Allen who won the game followed by Philip Yeh, Felipe Leme, Andrew Campbell, Tim Begley, Alex Condon, John Forlenza, Josh Greenberg and Quintin Trammell as ninth-placed.

The World Series of Poker Online Event #1 saw Jonathan Dokler winning and securing his very first WSOP gold bracelet in a $500 No-Limit Hold’em Kickoff which gathered almost one thousand and two hundred players with five hundred and twenty rebuys. While all eyes were on pro Phil Helmuth, he finished the event as eleventh-placed. Jonathan Dokler was followed by  Justin Turner, Tony Dunst, Shawn Daniels, Michael Balan, ChefShap, djp1006, Mark Liedtke, and Taylor Von Kriegenbergh as ninth-placed.

However, Unibet has to consider the well-being and health of its players, customers, employees, and everyone else involved in any way and make it the biggest priority to stay safe and protected considering the latest travel restrictions as well as related difficulties of planning such trips during these times of uncertainty.

The ninth edition of the highly popular Black Diamond Poker Open finally kicked off on the 28th of February. Before the poker tournament started, participants have been vying for their spot here by taking part in multiple qualifying events. The ninth edition of the Black Diamond Poker Open offers over $6.3 million in prize money which is guaranteed. The event also features one hundred and fifty events that take place over the course of four weeks until the 31st of March.

Like every other year, the Black Diamond Poker Open is held at Ignition Poker which is the prominent poker arm of a company that was founded back in September 2016 as Ignition Casino. At the time, the poker site was established by the purchase of the already exiting player base of an American poker product Bovada poker which was owned and operated by the Bodog Group.

All of Bovada’s assets related to its poker product were sold to a Hong Kong-headquartered company Pai Wang Luo. In the beginning, Ignition poker was solely focused on providing poker games to players from the United States. Nonetheless, in July of 2017, the company responsible for the poker site started accepting players from Australia as well.

The Pai Wang Luo Network

Ignition poker is part of a prominent network of sites which was previously known as the Bodog Poker Network before being rebranded as the Pai Want Luo network. The poker players registered at Ignition Poker commonly play against players who are registered at Bodog sites such as Bodog88 and Bodog that operate in several other countries other than Australia and the United States.

When it comes to the Pai Wang Luo poker network’s services, with thousands of active members, it is international in size and scope. After the company responsible for Ignition poker purchased the player base of Bovada, it became the third biggest poker site globally following Bovada ceasing its poker operations. At its peak hours, Ignition poker commonly exceeds over two thousand and five hundred cash games.

The poker site’s main offering revolves around three main poker games including Omaha Hi-Lo, Omaha and Texas Hold’em which are offered in different formats including sit and go, tournament and cash games. Speaking of its tournaments, some of them are series offering multi-million prize polls including the Super Millions Poker Open, Twelve Days of Turbo and Black Diamond Poker Open.

Highlights of the Black Diamond Poker Open

The Black Diamond Poker Open tournament comes with multiple highlights that players do not want to miss. There is also a number of special events that have been added to the schedule including the Tune-Up events, like Special, High Roller, and the Super High Roller. These three special events offer a combined guaranteed prize pool of $384,000.

Then, the tournament’s traditional $100,000 High Roller and Sunday $150,000 events are replaced with $125,000 and $159,000 versions. These return on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and finally 29th of March with awesome guaranteed prize pools as expected.

There will also be the Mini Main Event which comes with a lower buy-in than the traditional Main Event. The tournament kicks off on the 29th of March and it offers an awesome guaranteed prize pool of $125,000.

The biggest highlight of the entire event is definitely the Main Event which also kicks off on the 29th of March and offers a great guaranteed prize pool of staggering $450,000. The Main Event features a buy-in of $425 + $25 and participants can re-enter two times.

he Poker Masters is a popular poker tournament which is played once a year since its inception in 2017. The events of the tournament are played at the luxurious Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Speaking of the events, each tournament included has a buy-in worth of at least $10,000. The Poker Masters almost exclusively features No-Limit Hold’em games which usually attract the world’s best professional poker players.

The most successful players of these events receive the Poker Masters Purple Jacket. The very first edition of the Poker Masters held in 2017 saw a professional German poker player Steffen Sontheimer securing the title. The next year, the tournament introduced a new points system that was used in the 2019 Poker Masters as well.

Structure of the Poker Masters

As previously mentioned, all tournaments at the Poker Masters have buy-ins worth at least $10,000 including the No-Limit Hold’em events. Speaking of the structure of the tournaments, it should be noted that every tournament with a thirty-second shot clock. In other words, every participating poker player has thirty seconds to finish his or her actions. What is even more, all Poker Masters events are broadcasted live on the PokerGo platform.

The very first winner of the Poker Masters Purple Jacket was Steffen Sontheimer while the second winner was Almedin Imširović. The 2019 Poker Masters has been running since the 4th of November with several events already completed including the Event #6 tournament which included a buy-in of $25,000 and way played in a No-Limit Hold’em gaming format. The winner of this event was Kristen Bicknell who pocketed around $408K which is her biggest career cashout to date.

The 2019 Poker Masters

This field of the tournament consisted of fifty-one players and each game was live-streamed at the PokerGo platform. Thanks to the rather high buy-ins, this tournament doubtlessly attracted plenty of the leading, most successful professional poker players such as Manig Loeser, Bryon Kaverman and Erik Seidel among other prominent names.

In this extremely tough competition, it was Chance Kornuth and Kristen Bicknell who remained until the very end. The two came together in an extremely exciting heads-up game which determined the tournament winner and the winner of the major cash prize. The game saw the two battling back and forth with Chance Kornuth going all-in even two times. However, in the end, it was Kristen Bicknell who survived the game as the chip leaders with pocket eights against Chance Kornuth’s pocket nines.

Both went all-in following Kristen Bicknell taking the lead after earning the river straight which eventually made her the ultimate winner. What is surprising is that Kristen had no intention of playing this tournament and she even said that she just entered on a whim.

The 2019 Poker Masters Event #6 saw many other successful players in the top-ten including Ali Imširović as third-placed who won $178K, Andras Nemeth who pocketed $127K as fourth-placed, Ralph Wong who won $102K as fifth-placed, Ben Heath as sixth-placed who pocketed $76K, David Stamm who won $63K as seventh-placed and Elio Fox as eighth-placed who won $51K.
