The groundbreaking ceremony for Hard Rock Northern Indiana casino facility took place in January of this year. Hard Rock and Spectacle Entertainment Partnering Up
Hard Rock International and Spectacle Entertainment have partnered to work on the brick and mortar casino called Hard Rock Northern Indiana. The project is worth around $300 million and what we know so far is that it will include a massive, modern 200,000-square foot casino floor with around one thousand and six hundred slot games alongside eighty table games. The property will also include a modern entertainment facility that will replace the Majestic Star casino facilities situated on Lake Michigan that are owned by Spectacle Entertainment.
As reported several months back, Spectacle Entertainment lobbied for the necessary rights to relocate its casino boats that the company acquired just like year. Once being approved the request, Spectacle Entertainment agreed to invest around $20 million as a relocation fee. The project was eventually approved by the IGC or Indiana Gaming Commission. Nonetheless, the Indiana Gaming Commission has yet to approve a license for the Terre Haute venue due to an investigation concerning Spectacle Entertainment.
The investigation revolves around the information that the Indiana Gaming Commission received not long ago which indicates that one member of the company’s management team may be associated with illegal donations to one candidate running for Congress. At this time, there is no update to the Indiana Gaming Commission investigation.
