Several days ago, the Oneida Indian Nation celebrated the opening of an excellent new entertainment facility within its Yellow Brick Road Casino. The Oneida Indian Nation is a federally recognized tribe of Oneida People in the United States which is based in the state of New York. This is from where the tribe originated and this is where it holds its territory.
The Oneida Indian Nation is a member of the Five Nations as well as one of three other recognized Oneida tribes located in the state of Wisconsin and Ontario, Canada. Today, this federally recognized tribe holds several tribal lands in Canastota, Oneida and Verona, New York where it operates different businesses including an integrated casino resort with a gambling casino of Class III.
Oneida Indian Nation’s Business Ventures
Since becoming a federally recognized tribe with headquarters in Verona, the state of New York, the Oneida Indian Nation established a number of businesses on its tribal lands including a bingo hall which was founded back in the early 1990s. At that time, the Oneida Nation Enterprises which is the tribe’s organization also opened a gas station SavOn which later one expanded across many different locations.
Today, SavOn is a chain of convenience stores and gas stations in Madison and Oneida countries owned and managed by the Oneida Indian Nation. The tribe also opened several gambling venues including the Turning Stone Casino and Resort which was opened in 1993. Then in June of 2015, the tribe opened its flagship Yellow Brick Road Casino. Three years later, it opened the Point Place Casino venue located in Bridgeport, the state of New York.
Needless to say, the tribe’s Yellow Brick Road Casino is inspired by the iconic movie and book, The Wizard of Oz authored by L. Frank Baum. The casino is located in Tops Plaza and it comes packed with a massive 67,000 square feet gaming space that features over four hundred slot machines and loads of table games. Besides these three casinos, the Oneida Indian Nation also operates a marina located on Oneida Lank and several other business ventures.
The Yellow Brick Road Casino
According to reports revealed several days ago, the brand new 19,400 square foot Yellow Brick Road Casino’s entertainment space comes packed with two Topgolf Swing Suite bays as well as a massive Brunswick Bowling Center with six lanes, several pool tables, a sports betting deck, and a massive gaming area packed with over sixty-five slot machines, and multiple LED screens. The new multi-million dollar entertainment area within the Yellow Brick Road Casino also features a full-service bar, dining area, and bar-top gaming area.
Commenting on the news about the grand opening of the new facility, Chief Executive Officer and Representative of the Oneida Indian Nation Ray Halbritter said that this entertainment facility doubtlessly marks a completely new era of excitement and fun at the Yellow Brick Road Casino and Sportsbook which will offer endless fun to everyone in this area.
Over the last year, the facility owned and operated by the Oneida Indian Nation located in Chittenango has undergone a series of changes including a massive renovation of The Lounge with Caesar Sports worth around $10 million. Moreover, the Turning Stone Resort Casino located in Verona also introduced a new multi-sport viewing and betting facility. All in all, the Oneida Indian Nation plans to add more exciting features within its resorts.
